I have several corsets and waist cinchers and I have to say that this one is my favourite. I have worn it almost daily since I bought it and I couldn't be more pleased. Allow me to explain why this is the cincher to buy.

1)The difference between corsets and cinchers: I own both and they both do different things even though most people think that they're the same. A corset makes the body look beautiful outside of clothes (they push the breasts up very high and pull in the waist) but in general (unless you're wearing Marie Antoinette style clothing) they don't look good under an outfit. The breasts become a single lump and the ties are usually quite visiable underneath (which defeats the entire purpose of trying to get people to think that this is your natural figure). A cincher is made to be worn under clothes to pull in the waist and to be as invisiable as possible. Therefore they often aren't as pretty as corsets but make much better undergarments.

2) Rago rocks! I own many shaper garments and Rago's are by far the best. Yes you can find cheaper brands in the department stores but they won't hold up as well and they won't have the power that Rago's have.

3)Of the versions Rago offers on this site this one is the best. I own the other model which is very similar except that it is lace and has garters but it doesn't offer as much support as this one and aren't as invisiable as this one. The satin feels wonderful next to the skin and even under clingy dresses this is just about undetectable. Unless you have your heart set on garters this is the cincher to buy.

4) The fit: like many women I suffer from "Mummy Tummy" the horrible price one must pay for having grown two human beings in her body. I am in very good shape but nothing gets those muscles back to their prepregnancy shape besides surgery (I don't have a spare $20000 lying around and the scar is huge and ugly). This garment instantly takes 2-4 inches off of the waist and allows one to wear fashionable clothes again without looking frumpy or silly. Another bonus is that I stood about two inches taller because it forces you to walk and sit with perfect posture. This gave me back my youthful waistline. One reviewer said that the fit is a bit tight and they run small; the fit is much tighter than what lace materials and cheaper brands offer but that's because it's a high quality product that works! Those satin panels really pull you in but they're not uncomfortable (I felt like a sausage for the first hour I wore it but the body heat warms it up and makes it softer without losing any control). I plan on losing about 10-20 lbs. over the next few months so I will probably buy a new one soon but I'd recommend buying your size according to the chart. Most of the time I can fit into a small because they don't provide as much compression but this one you need to be exact.

Anyway if you are looking for an awesome waist cincher that is affordable flattens your stomach and gives you a lovely "wasp's waist" and feels wonderful and comfortable next to the skin this is the one to buy.More detail ...

Runs Big... order a size (or two) smaller...

I am a 10-12 so I ordered the Large supposedly best for a size 10. But when I tried on the slip... it was definitely bit loose... no real support or control. I exchange for a Medium and now I'm thinking I should have tried a Small. I'm waiting for the medium to come so we'll see. Order smaller but other than that the slip was comfortable and fit nice. It's also on the long side.

So I just got the medium and love it! Very comfortable smoothes and controls bulges. I think the small would be too small... hard to get on at least. At first I thought it was too long but now I think that the length is fine. Pretty good product!

It should be noted that I did not buy this with the purpose to cinch my waist. The cincher has cured me of my lower back problems! It also has retained its shape through many many many wearings. I put it through the wash and line-dried it and it's as good as the day I got it. I am very pleased with this!



There are however two little things:

1. You can't wear smooth fitted clothes over this because the ribs will show and

2. I wish it came in an even smaller size so if I actually did want to cinch my waist this hasn't done its job.



It's still an excellent cincher though if you're a size 2 and above!More detail ...

Very Good Tummy Shaper (Does NOT Flatten Chest if worn with a real bra!!)

My stats... 5'1" 38-40 C cup bra about a size 1x in normal clothes. My issue is the above the waist "tummy pooch"



I have been looking for a "shaper item" to not flatten but rather to just "suck in" my upper (above the waist) tummy area for a smoother look under clothes. I was concerned that this camisole would have the very bad effect of flattening my chest... it does NOT!! I wore this with a bra. It comes with a built-in bra but im a 38-40 C cup and yeah thats insufficient for me in the bra department. It seems to me that if you wear this with a real bra you will be good to go. The fabric in the bra area is not super tight but it is fitted. The tummy area is tight enough to "suck-in" and smooth a poochy tummy... but not SO tight that you cant breath... its comfortable AND controlling. This is going to be good for EVERYDAY use not the kind of power shaper for say a wedding or super special event. just enough to smooth for everyday wear and comfort.



I was concerned about the flattening the chest aspect I read MANY revies before purchasing.... I believe that when women said it flattened the chest they must have been wearing it without a normal bra. I hope this clears up the confusion I had before buying.



Also I normally wear about a size 1X top and I got mine in an XL... this item does seem to run a little large so I would say to go down 1 size.



Overall... WONDERFUL everyday smoothing camisole!! The cheaper ones at say Kohls or Sears aren't as good... this one is pricey for an undershirt but with this one you ARE getting what you pay for. (I love it!!) :DMore detail ...

Great tummy support

I wore this under a tight fitting dress and there were no problems with it riding/rolling up at the bottom. I was apprehensive that it would roll up my leg and create an ugly bulge but that was not the case. It did great in the hip/tummy/buttocks area.



The only negative thing I can say is that the chest area had a tendency to "roll down" with a lot of movement such as dancing. The lower half stays in place so well that if you do any upper body movement larger busted women can expect to come undone at the top. I would recommend either wearing this with a strapless bra or pulling it up higher on the torso to minimize the chances of this happening.



It also produces a sports bra type of effect and flattens your chest. That can either be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the look you want!More detail ...

Great bra for Fibromyalgia

Since I was told I have Fibromyalgia I must have purchased 100 bras trying to find one that would not hurt all my trigger points. I did find some Victoria Secret bras that were pretty good ( which I use mostly for the added cup size) But those day when I just can't handle those metal things digging into my shoulders etc I use this bra. It is perfect for those of us who suffer with horrible pain every day.

My 3rd one!

I have been enjoying this product for years. I had weight loss surgery 5 years ago and used it when I first had surgery. It helped with protecting the incision and my self confidence (from the sagging skin). Now 5 years later I find myself using it again because I've opted out of plastic surgery (at least for now) and I do enjoy how shapely it makes me look.



Only complaints are - it tends to roll up at the bottom (if you tend to be more pear-shaped) and sometimes the fasteners show through your blouse (if you wear clingy material). But besides that - I love it!More detail ...

NOT worth the MONEY

My husband and I had a wedding to attend. I happen to be blessed and married to a very important man and of course alot of eyes are on me.

I wanted to look as good as I possibly could so drove down to Nordstrom and purchased this in nude.

I would have to say that overall it did do some control however not what it claimed. The top also continously kept rolling down (which defeats the purpose of these and makes you get a big bulge by your bra){BIG DOWN FALL FOR ME}

I don't believe I will wear these much. Hard to put on.

One good thing I will say you can't see the seem by your legs and it lifts up your buttocks ok.

My Favorite Bra of All Time

I love lingerie and definitely have more than any person who doesn't own a lingerie store ought to. I actually saw this item at a friends and fell in love. I immediately went online and ordered it and the matching thong. It is sexy as can be but probably the most supportive of any bra I've ever owned next to my best heavy duty sports bras that is!
